The Indian Islands
Lakshadweep
The Lakshadweep Islands lie just 200km off the coast of Kerala amid the warm waters of the Arabian Sea. With silver beaches set against a background of coconut groves with crystal clear waters lapping the shore – this is an ideal add-on to a touring holiday in Kerala. The airport is on the main island and 45 minutes by motorboat away is the resort of Bangaram. Regular flights from Kochi (except Sundays) are the ideal means of getting to the island. The resort has excellent diving sites, snorkelling areas, a sandy beach for swimming and an Ayurvedic Centre for rejuvenation therapy and massage.

The Andaman Islands
Across the Bay of Bengal lie the 572 islands that form the Andaman Island group. Only 38 islands are inhabited, and much of the coastline is a declared marine reserve. With coral reefs and white beaches, this unpolluted paradise is a treasure trove for divers and snorkellers. Direct 2-hour flights from both Kolkata and Chennai offer easy connectivity from the mainland. These are an ideal destination for an extension to your India touring holiday.
