This self drive itinerary of 8 nights lets you experience the select highlights of Ontario. From the wonders of Toronto to the charms of Ottawa, picturseque landscapes to the captivating beauty of the Niagara falls, this tour is the perfect option to relax and unwind.
Day 1: Toronto
Upon arrival, pick up your rental car and make your way downtown Toronto.
Day 2: FREE DAY Toronto
Take in the waterfront, perhaps enjoy a lake shore cruise or explore Toronto’s many museums and attractions.
Days 3: Toronto – Gananoque (291 km)
Your drive today takes you east along lake Ontario to the St. Lawrence Seaway, through the city of Kingston and ending in the quaint riverside town of Gananoque.
Included Activity: Thousand Islands 1 hour Cruise This relaxing one-hour cruise will take you through wonderfully lush landscape dotted with luxurious cottages, vast estates and the famous Boldt Castle.
Day 4: Gananoque – Ottawa (156 km)
Continue along the St Lawrence to visit Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, or head directly for Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, nestled on the shores of the Ottawa River.
Day 5: FREE DAY Ottawa
You may wish to visit the parliament buildings, see the changing of the guard, visit the Canadian Museum of Civilization or
the National Gallery of Canada. Enjoy the By Ward Market, a colorful outdoor farmers’ market and the surrounding streets
house cafés, restaurants and boutiques.
Day 6: Ottawa – Rice Lake / Peterborough Area (275 km)Â
Days 7: Rice Lake – Niagara Falls (292 km)Â
Day 8: FREE DAY Niagara Falls
Tours can be taken locally or explore independently.
Day 9: Niagara Falls - Toronto (127 km)Â [Departure]Â

Drive towards Peterborough passing scenic pastures to the beautiful Kawartha Lakes region. Here you can relax and enjoy the laid back atmosphere of this water based vacation area.
Days 7: Rice Lake – Niagara Falls (292 km)Â
Head south around Lake Ontario, to Niagara Falls. Along the shores of the Lake you may choose to visit the historic town of Niagara-on-the Lake, home to many cottage wineries, along the scenic Parkway from the village.
Day 8: FREE DAY Niagara Falls

Day 9: Niagara Falls - Toronto (127 km)Â [Departure]Â
Leave Niagara behind as you head back to Toronto for your flight home.
