The Golden Triangle of Delhi, Jaipur and Agra is very rich in its cultural heritage and magnificent monuments. India is equally rich for Wildlife Sanctuaries and National parks, which lie conveniently close. A relaxed holiday in Kumaon Hills at a colonial style boutique resort at the end of your tour is highlight of the trip. The diversity of geography and its flora and fauna of the Northern region is showcased at its very best in this tour.
Day 1 Arrive Delhi: Arrive at Delhi airport. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Delhi to Jaipur: 260 Km/5 hrs Drive to Jaipur, the famed ‘Pink City’ also the present capital of Rajasthan known for its palaces, three hill forts and a shopper’s paradise. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 3 Jaipur: Morning excursion to Amber- capital of the old state of Dhundhar, located on the rugged hills that surround Jaipur. Ride the colourfully painted elephants up the hill, admire the massive gateways, courts, stairways, pillared pavilions and palaces the recall the glory and wealth of Amber’s association with the Mughals. In the afternoon visit the City Palace (still houses the erstwhile Royal family); Jantar Mantar – the Royal Observatory and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds)- built for the royal ladies to watch the activities on the market street below without being observed themselves.

Day 4 Jaipur to Ranthambore: 180Km / 3 hrs Drive to Ranthambore, 6 Kms from Sawai Madhopur. An afternoon safari at Ranthambore National Park an outstanding example of Project Tiger’s efforts at tiger conservation in the country. With the conservation efforts, tigers have become more and more active during the day. They can be seen lazing in the sun or feverishly hunting down the sambar around the lakes. Ranthambore is probably the most ideal location for wildlife photography. The other permanent residents of the park include crocodiles, hyenas, jungle cats, wild dogs, sloth bears, and panthers, Sambars are in abundance and so are Chitals, nilgai, and some chinkaras. During the winter months there are a lot of migratory birds apart from the permanent residents like storks, quails, Bonelli’s eagles, spur fowls, crested serpent eagles etc.

Day 5 Ranthambore: Search for the tigers on early morning and afternoon safari drives at Ranthambore National Park.

Day 6 Ranthambore to Bharatpur : 302 Km/ 5 1/2 hrs Morning game viewing. After a late breakfast drive to Bharatpur. In the afternoon take a Rickshaw-ride in Keoladeo Ghana National Park-one of the most spectacular bird sanctuaries in India, nesting indigenous water birds as well as migratory water birds and waterside birds. More than 300 species of birds are found in this small park of 29 sq.km of which 11 sq km are marshes and the rest, scrubland and grassland.

Day 7 Bharatpur to Delhi via Agra: 260 Km/ 6 hrs. Morning free (Optional 2nd visit to the National Park). Drive to Delhi en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, the Red Fort, and one of the most beautiful monuments in the world – The Taj Mahal. Overnight Delhi.

Day 8 – Delhi to Corbett: 260 Km/ 7 hrs Drive to Corbett National Park. In the afternoon a Jeep safari to India’s first ever National Park named after the hunter turned conservationist and writer – Jim Corbett. Over 50 mammals, 580 birds, and 25 reptile species have been spotted at the Corbett National Park.

Day 9 Corbett National Park: Early morning and afternoon safari by jeep or elephant.

Day 10 Corbett to Almora: 150 Km/4 hrs Drive to Almora. Upon arrival check in at Kalmatia Sangam Himalayan Resort. The cottages are British colonial style with Kumaoni elements.

Day 11 Almora: Early morning excursion to Binsar – a picturesque sleepy hamlet, one of the most scenic spots in the Kumaon Himalayas. It’s a fascinating spot, encircled by a vast wildlife, a home to many rare animals, birds and wild flowers. Enjoy the majestic views of the snow coered Himalayan peaks from it altitude of 2,420 meters, Enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Return to Almore by noon. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 12 Almora: Full day at Leisure.Optionally visit the Lake District of Nainital famous for its beautiful lakes of Sat Tal, Naukuchia Tal, Bhim Tal, and Nainital, prices on request.

Day 13 Almora to Kathgodam: Morning free to explore the villages of Kumaon Hills. Late afternoon drive to Kathgodam railway station and depart on the overnight Ranikhet Express Train to Delhi.

Day 14 Delhi: Upon arrival at Delhi railway station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the cosmopolitan city of Delhi at your own pace.

Day 15 Depart Delhi: Morning transfer to International airport to board your onward flight.
