Fri 05 Jul 24 - Arrival Day
On arrival in beautiful Mauritius, you will be privately transferred from the airport to your glamping river lodge.
You will have the afternoon to relax, settle in and prepare yourself for an amazing adventure in Mauritius.
Dinner is provided, allowing you to have your first taste of delicious Mauritius cuisine in your beautiful
accommodation.

Enjoy this glamping experience between a mountain and river, in the most eco-conscious and original way.
Expect dry and cosy nights thanks to the well-equipped and elevated tents, will an array of ecotourism activities to be explored in this privileged location. Every tent comes with a private bathroom. You stay here will include breakfast, dinner, shuttle to Ile aux Cerfs, mountain bikes & kayaks.
Each river tent has a queen size bed as well as 2 twin beds, accommodating up to 4 people. You will have electricity from solar panels, making this a sustainable stay. The Eco-Lodge has a restaurant, living areas, swimming pool, bonfire evenings, mountain trails, boat to Ile aux Cerfs. There are mountain bikes and kayaks you can borrow to explore the waterfall of Grand South-East River, explore the mangroves of Ile aux cerfs and Mangenie island and find your own hidden coves and beaches.

Sat 06 Jul 24 - Sailing in the Authentic South East
Enjoy a delicious breakfast of seasonal fruits, fresh juice and freshly ground coffee from 7 to 10 am. A selection of Homemade bread, homemade jams and yoghurts, eggs, ham and cheese are prepared daily by the lodge team.
After a delicious breakfast you will begin your sailing day adventure in the South East of Mauritius.
Set sail at 9 am for a day on board of Arminios traditional wooden boat, locally known as apirogue. You will discover 3 isolated islets in the Southeast of Mauritius.
You will start by discovering one of the best snorkelling spots near Ile aux Aigrettes, and raise sails to reach Ile de la Passe and Ile aux Phare, with their old lighthouse structures and rich historic past.
Wave the sun goodbye from a tiny, exclusive islet where your captain will prepare a sumptuous seafood BBQ with free drinks! Return at 4:30 pm.
You will then be picking up your rental car, which will be a Nissan Micra or similar. This automatic car has air conditioning making it perfect for the heat of Mauritius, as well as space for 4 passengers and luggage.
The rental service benefits include a comprehensive insurance cover; delivery & collection service 7 days a week; 24hr roadside service and optional services such as GPS upon request. You will have unlimited mileage, theft protection and personal accident insurance for the rest of your time with the car.
Then you will return to your gorgeous accommodation for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Here you can unwind at the pool, before enjoying a delicious dinner cooked for you by your accommodation.

Sun 07 Jul 24 - Enjoy Mauritius' Natural Beauty
After a delicious breakfast at your accommodation you can enjoy the day in Mauritius as you desire. Whether you choose to venture out to the breathtaking landscapes, immerse yourself in the local culture, or relax in the beautiful Eco-Lodge, you are destined to have a memorable day here in sunny Mauritius.
You can take a boat to the gorgeous Ile aux Cerfs, a small island located in the largest lagoon in Mauritius.
This island offers 87 hectares of luxuriant vegetation and preserved white, sandy beaches.
If you are feeling particularly active, you can enjoy mountain trails or even mountain bikes! Take an adventure into the beautiful Mauritian landscape, admiring the flora and fauna present across the country.
Alternatively, you can remain at your stunning accommodation, swimming in the cool pool or perhaps kayaking.
In the afternoon you will then be transferring to your new accommodation.
After checking in, relax and enjoy a delicious meal.

Trou aux Biches. Enjoy relaxed days by the pool, beach, bar and restaurant, or take on little adventures with their free water sports in the calm lagoon. Within a short distance youll find everything you need: from ATMs to lively restaurants, pharmacy, diving centres and bus stop.
You will be staying in a Sea View Room, with a queen size bed. Free wifi is provided, as well as air conditioning. You will also have a TV to unwind and connect to the outside world. After breakfast at your accommodation you will be departing to reach your activity of the day by 9.30 am.
Today, you will be preparing and sharing a meal at Rosemondes home. Youll visit the weekly fresh market to handpick the ingredients you will cook with A delicious curry preparation follows, filled with the aromas, conversation and music that you can only experience in the kitchen of a Mauritian Creole.
This authentic off the beaten track experience will truly immerse you in Mauritian culture. You will be able to learn about the traditions in Mauritius, whilst visiting key local spots.
You will then return to you accommodation at around 1pm, allowing you time to relax and enjoy your afternoon as you wish.
Sunbathing along the white beaches, swimming in the warm waters, snorkelling in the crystal clear water, you are sure to make the most of this island paradise.

Tue 09 Jul 24 - Experience a Street Food and Cultural Tour in Port Louis
Breakfast once again is a delicious start to the day, and your day is set to become even more delicious, as you embark on a local Food and Historical Tour of Port Louis.
Appreciate the local cultural heritage of Mauritius capital city.
Learn about the islands eclectic history and the blend of cultures by sampling typical street food snacks from different backgrounds.
Experience the heady scent of the spice quarters and its Gujerati influence, dumplings in their hot broth, roti filled with spiced curry and gato pima, the unbeatable deep fried chilli-cakes, experience the busting markets and buzz of the colourful streets of Chinatown
This tour will be in the morning around from 9am to 12pm, allowing you to spend the rest of your day at your leisure.
You can choose to remain in the capital city, immersing yourself in the local culture, or head back to the hotel and relax beside the pool, soaking up the sun or bathing in the perfectly warm ocean.

Thu 11 Jul 24 - Explore the Beautiful Mountains of Chamarel
This is your last morning in the Sakoa Boutique hotel before departing on the next part of your adventure, at La Vieille Cheminee.
Here, you can spend the rest of your day getting to know the location, its beautiful surroundings and the hiking trails around your accommodation.
Horseback riding and bike rentals are available at a small extra cost to go further afield an experience this truly authentic rural side of Mauritius.
Enjoy the rest of your day at the tranquil swimming pool at your accommodation. A delicious dinner of local organic produce will be served at your accommodation, before returning to your cozy cottage for the evening.

Fri 12 Jul 24 - E-bike tour and local rum distillery
Enjoy a delicious breakfast provided for you by your accommodation before embarking on an electric bike tour of the South Coast of Mauritius.
This fantastic guided ride will leave you in awe from start to finish. Riding your electric bike you will visit an agricultural rum distillery and learn the process from sugar cane to spirit.
Your local guide will then take you through the Earth of 7 Colours and Chamarel Waterfall, and continue the ride towards the south coast, down the meandering Fantasie Road.
Just in time for an energy boost you will arrive to a typical shack by the coast, where youll be invited for an authentic Mauritian lunch, your cycling adventure will end in the old sugar state of Bel Ombre.
The electric motor of your bike will help you cover a long distance with ease, and this eco friendly form of transport allows you to see so much more of the natural environment,and help preserve the beautiful natural world here in Mauritius.
Beginning at around 8.30 am and ending at 3 pm, this trip along the South Coast is a great insight into the beautiful rural landscape, natural wonders, local villages and artisans.

Today you will be enjoying a private Mauritian Lychee Wine Tasting. Somewhere between the West of the Sun and the East of the Moon, authentic lychee wine is crafted by artisans.
During your visit to this boutique winery you will learn all about the wine making process and enjoy a tasting of Mauritius unique organic wine made of lychees. This 1 hour off the beaten track experience is truly sensational!
After this amazing start to your day, you will have the rest of the afternoon and evening at leisure to enjoy your last day in Mauritius.
Relaxing in the swimming pool, experiencing more of Mauritius nature with hiking trails, cycling or horse riding whatever takes your fancy.
