Come and fall in love with Ontario and Quebec. This 14 nights package full of magnificent scenery, fascinating flora and fauna, colorful cities and villages abundant with memories of balmy past will surely leave you refreshed and rejuvenated.
Day 1: Toronto
Pick up your rental car at Toronto airport and make your way to your B&B accommodation.

Day 2: FREE DAY Toronto
Take in the waterfront, marvel at the famous Sky Dome, perhaps enjoy a lakeshore cruise or explore Toronto’s many museums and attractions.

Day 3: Toronto – Gananoque (291 km)
This morning start your travels south along Lake Ontario to the historical town of Kingston, which boasts many ancient fortifications and early Canadian landmarks. This begins the area known as the 1000 Islands.

Day 4: Gananoque - Montreal (260 km)
Today in the town of Rockport you will stop for your included cruise on the St. Lawrence River. Another stop can be made in Morrisburg to visit the Upper Canada Village, a reconstructed 19th century town with staff in period costumes.

Day 5: FREE DAY Montreal
Spend the day exploring this fascinating city. Highlights are; Notre-Dame Cathedral, old Montreal with its cobbled streets and outdoor restaurants, the old port, McGill University, Mount Royal viewpoint, St. Joseph Oratory, and one of the best shopping streets in Canada – Sainte-Catherine. On the east side you may wish to visit Montreal’s Olympic Park, the Botanical Gardens and the Biodome.

Day 6: Montreal - Mauricie Region Trois Rivieres (141 km) or to Grandes Piles (191 km)
Visit Magnan Falls, aimed at familiarizing visitors with hydro-electricity production in the natural beauty of a remarkable setting. The Park includes a nature centre and an interpretation pavilion where visitors can learn all about the falls and the park’s history.

Day 7: Mauricie Region - Tadoussac (339 km)
As you head towards the small village of Tadoussac, at the mouth of the Saguenay Fjord. Travel through the wonderful Charlevoix region along the St Lawrence River. Visit the sheer cliffs and waterfalls of Sainte-Anne Falls and Chasm, the amazing basilica at SainteAnne de Beaupre and Montmorency Falls Park.

Day 8: FREE DAY Tadoussac
Tadoussac is a quaint village with a strong ocean going history. Stroll through its small streets and optionally take the whale-watching cruise on the St. Lawrence River.

Day 9: Tadoussac – Quebec City (220km plus 10min ferry Tadoussac to Baie Ste Catherine)
Travel back through the wonderful Charlevoix region along the St Lawrence River. You may wish to make an excursion to the Ile D’Orleans; The island, situated 5 kilometres from Quebec City. Its rich natural elements interspersed with its outstanding architectural treasures offer a diverse collection of charming and surprisingly moving landscapes. Known as the “Garden of Quebec”, the Island has for many years provided nearby Quebec City with fresh produce such as seasonal fruit and vegetables, cereals, maple products, as well as farm produce. Before reaching Quebec City, visit Montmorency Falls Park. The Park offers spectacular views of the 83-metre (272 ft) high falls, the St. Lawrence River and the south shore of Quebec. The day ends with your arrival in beautiful Quebec City.

Day 10: FREE DAY Quebec City
Travelpack recommends: Guided Quebec City Tour (2 hours) Experience the European charm of the first French settlement in North America. This is your chance to visit history first hand. The Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, Ramparts, world famous Château Frontenac, National Assembly Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place-Royale, Citadelle and a glimpse of modern Québec City are the perfect introduction to the city. Continue on your own to enjoy the views over the St. Lawrence River from the Dufferin Terraces and take time to explore the colourful streets, stores, pavement cafes and restaurants.

Day 11: Quebec City – Ottawa (453 km)
Head south this morning, crossing the St Lawrence by bridge. Today’s journey takes you through some of Canada’s most picturesque countryside, rich in Anglo-Saxon charm and ‘Quebecois joie de vivre’. On route make a stop at the many lakes, forests and quaint Victorian style villages. Upon arrival in Ottawa, there are a host of attractions and sightseeing: Visit the parliament buildings, see the changing of the guard, stroll along the banks of the Rideau Canal, Enjoy the By Ward Market, a colorful outdoor farmers’ market begun in the 1840’s. The surrounding streets house cafés, restaurants and boutiques. Perhaps, take a lantern-lit evening walking tour of Ottawa.

Day 12: Ottawa – Huntsville (362 km)
Today you will be traveling north west towards Algonquin Park. Exploring this wilderness playground, you may wish to participate in many of the following activities; Hiking, biking, boating and wildlife viewing are the order of the day – black bear and moose are often spotted, while the variety of birdlife will astound you.

Day 13: Huntsville – Niagara Falls (389 km)
Taking Hwy 11 to meet the 400 and passing Toronto, you will connect to the QEW Hwy and continue towards Niagara Falls.

Day 14: FREE DAY Niagara Falls

Day 15: Niagara Falls - Toronto (127 km) [Departure]
Today your drive takes you back to Toronto International Airport. Drop off your car and check-in for your flight home.

Conditions:
  • The name of the B&B will be confirmed at time of booking. Address and phone list will be part of your document kit. Check-in is between 3-6 pm, courtesy call to advise an estimated arrival time if late.
  • Depending on availability, a B&B within 30 min. drive from the area requested could be confirmed. (Example if there is no availability in Québec city, we could reserve in Lévis or Ile d’Orleans)
  • 2 nights minimum requested with a Saturday evening. (Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday)
  • 2 nights minimum requested in the following cities : Toronto, Montréal, Québec and Tadoussac.
  • Most B&B have rooms with one double or queen bed. Extra bedding of the following type; roll-away, sofa-bed, mattress on the floor etc. are on request.
  • Triple & Quad on request, most times you will require 2 rooms.
