Day 1 Arrive Calgary
Arrive at Calgary International Airport and collect your car (not
included, see pages 12 15). Transfer independently to your
centrally located hotel. Please collect your travel documentation
at the front desk. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 Calgary to Banff
(130km) Leave Calgary behind and set your sights today on the magnificent
Rocky Mountains. As you travel through the foothills, enter Banff
National Park. Once you have arrived in Banff, the remainder of
the
day is free to explore its charms.

Day 3 Banff National Park 
Activity Package inclusion: 2-hour Sundance Loop Horseback Ride
Banff National Park is your outdoor playground for the day. Enjoy
an optional gondola ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, visit the
Cave and Basin, hike along groomed trails or shop in the many boutiques
and stores.
Day 4 Banff to Lake Louise
(75km) Today is a short drive through to beautiful Lake Louise,
the acclaimed Jewel of the Rockies. Admire the beauty
of the lake from inside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Across
the valley from Lake Louise Village, you can take a chairlift up
Whitehorn Mountain.
Overnight: (E/S) Lake Louise Inn, (F) Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 5 Lake Louise to Jasper
(230km) Drive to Jasper via the spectacular Icefields Parkway, one
of the most scenic routes in the world. We suggest a stop at Peyto
Lake and a visit to Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park. At the
Columbia Icefield, take an optional snocoach ride onto the massive
glacier before continuing to the resort town of Jasper.

Day 6 Jasper National Park 
Activity Package inclusion: 2.5-hour rafting on Athabasca River.
Today is at your leisure to explore the beautiful landscape of Jasper
National Park where serene lakes and gentle meadows stand in stark
contrast to its jagged peaks and spectacular glaciers. We suggest
an optional Maligne Lake boat cruise, a visit to Miette Hot Springs,
or a ride on the Jasper Tramway.
Day 7 Jasper to Wells Gray Provincial Park
(440km) Drive the scenic Yellowhead Highway to Wells Gray Park.
Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies can be seen for miles
as you wind your way south through the vast unspoiled landscape.
Wells Gray Provincial Park is worth the detour offering serene lakes,
dormant volcanoes and rushing falls.

Day 8 Wells Gray Provincial Park to Gold Bridge
(350km) Following the Cariboo Highway south, you will visit towns
and villages that echo the past, this route was travelled by gold
seekers and traders during the famous Cariboo Gold Rush. Be prepared
for the largest log
lodge in the West: Tyax Mountain Resort. The resort offers everything
from bird and wildlife watching to horseback riding, mountain biking
and gold panning.

Day 9 Gold Bridge 
Activity Package inclusion: Recreation package: use of canoes,
rowboats and mountain bikes. Activities: fishing, tennis and gold
panning. Enjoy your day in Gold Bridge where you will find a unique
combination of wilderness, outdoor adventures and first-class facilities.
You can discover the surrounding area on a hiking excursion on one
of the many eco trails.
Day 10 Gold Bridge to Whistler
(130km) Enjoy the arid landscape as you make your way to the
famous Whistler resort. Once in Whistler, choose from optional activities
such as golf, hiking, horseback riding or a whitewater raft. You
may wish to relax in the enchanting setting and enjoy the boutiques,
restaurants and cafes.

Suites, (F) Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort.
Day 11 Whistler to Pacific Rim National Park
(310km land only) Travel by the Sea-to-Sky Highway stopping briefly
at Shannon Falls. Continue to Horseshoe Bay where you will board
a ferry to sail
across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. Pass through the
dense rainforests, steep ravines and windswept beaches of Pacific
Rim National Park.

Day 12 Pacific Rim National Park
Activity Package inclusion: 3-hour whalewatching on Zodiac boat.
A day of leisure to explore the rugged coastline along the network
of hiking trails or walk the shoreline of Long Beach searching for
shells and driftwood.
Day 13 Pacific Rim N. Park to Victoria 
(325km) This morning drive back to the east coast of Vancouver Island.
The day winds down in Victoria. Visit the harbour area, totem poles
of Thunderbird Park or the Royal British Columbia Museum. For an
unforgettably elegant end to your day, visit the Fairmont Empress
Hotel for a traditional High Tea.

Day 14 Victoria to Vancouver
(70km land only) Before leaving Vancouver we recommend you visit
Butchart Gardens, a magnificent display of flora set in an old stone
quarry. Enjoy a mini-cruise on B.C. Ferries guiding you around the
many Gulf Islands through the Strait of Georgia to mainland British
Columbia. Take the rest of the day to enjoy downtown Vancouver.

Hotel & Spa, (F) Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Day 15 Vancouver 
Activity Package inclusion: 4-hour Capilano Suspension Bridge and
Rainforest Adventure including lunch. You have the entire day to
tour Vancouver and the surrounding area. Explore its cosmopolitan
atmosphere with its diverse cultural, recreational, shopping and
dining facilities that appeal to all tastes. Don't miss a visit
to the
amazing Capilano Suspension Bridge.
Day 16 End of Tour
Return to Vancouver International Airport to drop off your car and
check in for your departure flight.
