Day 1 UK to Vancouver, Sun/Mon
Depart the UK by wide bodied jet to Vancouver (not included). On
arrival in Vancouver International Airport transfer (not included
- see options above) to your centrally located hotel. The evening
is at leisure.
Overnight: (2 nights) Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown.
Day 2 Vancouver, Mon/Tue
You get better acquainted with your travelling companions at breakfast.
Morning sightseeing Vancouver. The afternoon is free. Optional Sunset
Dinner Cruise this evening (£37/C$85). Continental breakfast
included.
Day 3 Vancouver to Vernon, Tue/Wed
9 Day & 11 Day Rocky Roundup Mini Tours Commence today. Passengers
must check in with the Tour Director at 07.30 at your Vancouver
hotel. The bus leaves the hotel at 08.30. Leaving the Pacific Coast
behind, you travel east across a great maritime plain. A picturesque
journey through southwest British Columbia, you soon discovers the
Okanagan Valley and arrives at your destination for the night.

Day 4 Vernon to Banff, Wed/Thu
The Okanagan Valley, famous for fruit orchards and vineyards provides
a magnificent back drop for your morning travels. The afternoon
brings you to the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains, crossing first
the mighty
Rogers Pass and then the narrow Kicking Horse Canyon.
Overnight: (2 nights) Charlton's Cedar Court or Banff Aspen Lodge.

Day 5 Banff National Park, Thu/Fri
This morning you enjoy a comprehensive tour of the Banff region,
Canada's first National Park. Optional Helicopter Sightseeing tours,
choice of two (£72/C$165 - £85/C$195) or an optional
Banff Nature & Wildlife
tour (£15/C$35) with Gondola ride are offered. This afternoon
there is some free time to explore the town. Continental breakfast
included.
Day 6 Banff to Jasper, Fri/Sat
The journey today promises to be a highlight of your tour. As you
travel north on the Icefields Parkway you will experience a wealth
of breathtaking scenery. You visit the turquoise waters and spectacular
glacier of sparkling Lake Louise. Enroute stop for an exciting ‘Snocoach’
ride on the Columbia Icefields. Close to Jasper you have the chance
to go on an optional Raft Trip on the Athabasca River (£20/C$45).
Overnight: Maligne Lodge. Continental breakfast included.
Day 7 Jasper to Prince George, Sat/Sun
Before leaving Jasper you visit Maligne Lake. There is an optional
Spirit Island Cruise (£19/C$44). Next you start your westward
journey to the coast. Soon after sighting Mount Robson, the highest
peak in the Rockies,
you will leave Alberta and the mountains behind. You follow a northern
arm of the Fraser Valley River towards Prince George which is situated
at the tip of British Columbia's ‘Caribou Region’.

Day 8 Prince George to Smithers, Sun/Mon
Continuing west, you experience the Yellowhead Highway and some
of Canada's most barren and rugged terrain. At the end of the day
you will settle into Smithers, a typical frontier town.
Overnight: Hudson Bay Lodge or Aspen Motor Inn. Continental breakfast
included.
Day 9 Smithers to Prince Rupert, Mon/Tue
Today you will follow the beautiful Skeena River Valley to Prince
Rupert your destination for the night. The remainder of the day
is at leisure. Overnight: Coast Prince Rupert Hotel or Crest Motor
Hotel. Continental
breakfast included.
Day 10 Prince Rupert to Port Hardy (Cruise), Tue/Wed
This morning you join a spectacular full day cruise to Vancouver
Island. Following the famous ‘Inside Passage’, you will
enjoy a feast of magnificent British Columbia coastline.
Overnight: Port Hardy Inn or Airport Inn.
Day 11 Port Hardy to Victoria, Wed/Thu
Back on your tour-coach, today you travel south to Victoria. Enroute
you pass by towns and villages, most of which serve as local centres
for nearby logging and fishing activities.
Overnight: (2 nights) Harbour Towers Hotel & Suites. Continental
breakfast included.
9 Day Rocky Roundup Mini Tour ends. You leave the tour upon arrival
at the hotel at around 5pm.
Day 12 Victoria, Thu/Fri
This morning you enjoy a tour of charming Victoria. Victoria is
proud of her maritime heritage and to this day retains a truly quaint,
colonial demeanour. The afternoon is free. An optional Foatplane
Sightseeing tour (£41/C$93) is available or an optional Whale
Watching excursion (£35/C$81). Continental breakfast included.
Day 13 Victoria to Vancouver, Fri/Sat
Today you visit the Butchart Gardens where you will experience one
of the world's great floral displays. In the afternoon you return
to Vancouver. Your trip will include a pleasant cruise through the
Gulf Island resort region. In
the evening there is an optional ‘Farewell Dinner’ (£26/C$60)
at Aqua Riva Restaurant.
Overnight: Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown. Continental breakfast
included.
11 Day Rocky Roundup Mini Tour ends. You leave the tour upon arrival
at the Holiday Inn at approximately 17.30.
Day 14 Vancouver to UK, Sat/Sun
A time for last minute shopping and fond farewells, transfer (not
included) to Vancouver International Airport for your return flight
home (not included). Continental breakfast included.
