Full Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive Vancouver
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport, collect your car (not included, see pages 12 – 15). Head to Vancouver, where the nightlife awaits you this evening, with alternative, jazz and top 40 clubs, plus many theatres around downtown.

Day 2 Vancouver to Kelowna
(394km) Today, drive toward the sun & vineyards of Kelowna, taking the Coquihalla connector and Highway1. Situated on the shores of the 82-mile long Lake Okanagan, Kelowna is the largest community in the interior of British Columbia. With over 2,000 hours of sunshine and only 13” of precipitation annually, Kelowna boasts a wide range of outdoor activities and quality vineyards.

Day 3 Kelowna
Spend the day touring around the Okanagan Valley, visiting some of the vineyards that the valley is becoming famous for. Most are open to the public, and sell wines on the spot; they can arrange shipment home for you too. If you prefer a little more activity, try one of the many golf courses this region has to offer.

Day 4 Kelowna to Revelstoke
(193km) Your destination tonight is the railway city of Revelstoke, situated at highway junctions #1 and #23. Westward, just before Revelstoke, is Craigellachie, famous as the point where the ‘last spike’ was driven joining the western part of the Canadian Pacific Railway to the segment built from the east. Also visit Revelstoke's excellent Railway Museum or take a tour of BC Hydro's colossal Revelstoke Dam, just minutes north of town.

Day 5 Revelstoke to Nipika Mountain Resort
(246km) Today your destination is the Nipika Mountain Resort, which borders Kootenay National Park and the mighty Kootenay River. It offers guests a recreational playground unparalleled in beauty and amenities. Hike on endless trails, fish, canoe or kayak the Kootenay River, or just enjoy wildlife grazing on the meadow. Cabins are hand-built using logs milled, notched and built on site.

Day 6 Nipika Mountain Resort to Cranbrook
(146km) Today, Highway 93/95 will lead you to Cranbrook, the ‘Key City to the Rockies’. Along the way visit Fort Steele Heritage Town, a local settlement whose name was changed in 1888 to honour Superintendent Samuel Benfield (Sam) Steele of the North-West Mounted Police, who peacefully reduced tensions between the Ktunaxa and the white and
Chinese settlers who were relatively new to the area. In Cranbrook, the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel is famous for the restored complete set of the TransCanada Limited, a million dollar train set built in 1929.

Day 7 Cranbrook to Nelson
(232km) On the way into Nelson today take a short detour to Harrop and back to experience the Harrop Proctor Cable Ferry. Surrounded by the Selkirk Mountains, set on the shores of Kootenay Lake and clustered with some 350 heritage buildings, Nelson's storybook charm and stunning scenery create the quintessential small town setting. Perhaps enjoy an
evening cruise on the SS Moyie paddle wheeler.

Day 8 Nelson
Today is free for you to explore this wonderful area of British Columbia.

Day 9 Nelson to Osoyoos
(261km) Today continue travelling westward to Osoyoos, location of the “Best small town museum in BC”. Osoyoos is Canada's only desert town, with a unique interpretive centre to experience this phenomenon. With expanses of orchards and vineyards, plus lake swimming and boating, this area has all the amenities a visitor could ever want.

Day 10 Osoyoos

Spend another free day exploring vineyards offering different wines than the northern valley in Kelowna. Or if you prefer, there is always the lake itself for you to enjoy.

Day 11 Osoyoos to Harrison Hot Springs
(347km) Bordering the breathtaking snowcapped mountains of the Pacific Northwest, Harrison Hot Springs is a refreshing world of outdoor tranquillity. Harrison was once a stopover on the legendary gold rush trails, and this beautiful wooded shoreline has become a renowned Canadian getaway. There are 45 miles of glacial waters and 700 acres of woodlands, wildlife and waterways to explore.

Day 12 Harrison Hot Springs
Relax on the shores of the lake today, or give in and take a spa treatment. There is also wonderful golf nearby.

Day 13 Harrison Hot Springs to Vancouver
(90km) Today, return to Vancouver through the fertile farmland of the Fraser Valley. Step back in time at Kilby Historic Store, where costumed staff, introduce you to an original Fraser Valley family. The Fraser winds along to Mission where view seekers drive up to Westminster Abbey, a working monastery open to visitors. Or a cooling, wet, fun stop at the Transcanada Waterslides located close to Bridal Falls on Highway 1.

Day 14 End of Tour
Return your car to the airport and check in for your return flight.
