Motorhome Itinerary:
Day 1 There are so many sights and sites you could fill a fortnight in Washington, DC so be sure to spend a few nights here enjoying all the capital has to offer before setting off on your motorhome holiday! Visit Capitol Hill, the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Smithsonian, and the Kennedy gravesite in Arlington National Cemetery. It is just a short drive from Washington, DC to Frederick, Maryland. Surrounded by mountain views, wineries, orchards, and vibrant Main Street communities. Overnight at Cunningham Falls State Park located in the picturesque Catoctin Mountains with plenty of outdoor activity opportunities. 46 miles to Frederick* Visitors can hike on the Appalachian Trail, visit Maryland's largest brewery, and tour a battlefield a]I in one day.


Days 2/3 Today you are heading for Shenandoah National Park with over 500 miles of hiking trails and 196,000 acres Shenandoah National Park provides unique opportunities for bird watching, wildlife viewing, discovering the natural world, or simply admiring spectacular vistas.0110 miles to Mount Jackson / Shenandoah * Drive the whole length of the Skyline Drive with outstanding views at each of the overlooks along the way. Visit Dark Hollow Falls and perhaps hike some of the Appalachian Trail in Shenandoah.


Days 4/5 Travel the Skyline Drive south to Waynesboro and just over two hours in Williamsburg, one of America's favorite family destinations. Take the opportunity to maybe swing from the trees at Go Ape; march with Colonial Williamsburg's Fifes and Drums or thrill to world-class roller coasters at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, one of the World's Most Beautiful
Theme Park. 0 210 miles to Williamsburg * Make time to visit historical attractions like Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Victory Center offer hands-on exhibits and displays.


Days 6/7 Spend the next couple of nights camping in First Landing State Park where English
colonists first landed in 1607. Native American canoes, Colonial settlers, 20th-century schooners, and modern cargo ships have navigated the park's waterways and legend has it that Blackbeard hid in the Narrows. As Virginia's most-visited state park, it's an oasis within urban Virginia Beach. Ocean or Bay? Peace and quiet or right in the thick of it? Days 8/9 Leaving Virginia head South to North Carolina and the Outer Banks, a 330 mile stretch of barrier island beaches, two national seashores and dozens of charming small towns, the pristine landscape of the North Carolina coast is made for relaxation. Explore the seven coastal lighthouses, taste exquisite seafood caught the same day. Witness the mystique of wild horses and native wildlife in picturesque settings. 80 miles to Kitty Hawk* Visit the Wright Brothers Memorial, home of the first powered flight and learn about how the two brothers made it happen then book tickets for America's oldest outdoor drama set in Manteo on the Outer Banks.


Days 10 Take the scenic drive today from the Kitty Hawk area down the coast taking the ferries
where needed and make your way to Wilmington a delightful town of Wilmington, with both village charm and a cosmopolitan lifestyle, the Wilmington Historic River District and Island
Beaches offer great dining, unique shops, and vibrant nightlife. Downtown, stop at a quaint cafe, take a garden stroll, tour local film sites, or board Battleship North Carolina. 0 261 miles to
