Highlights: Kolkata - Darjeeling - Pelling - Gangtok - Kalimpong

A visit to Darjeeling is incomplete without a ride in the toy train of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. The miniature train, given Heritage status by UNESCO.

Nestled among the rolling mountains with the glistening Mt. Kanchenjunga towering over the azure sky, Darjeeling fondly called “Queen of the Hills”, provides a perfect gateway for those seeking to be in harmony with nature. Legends and Folklore abound in the eastern Himalayas about the occasional appearance of the abominable snowman-the Yeti. In the shadow of Mount Kanchenjunga the tea estates and hill station of Darjeeling are the gateways to the former kingdom of Sikkim. Witnessing sunrise from Tiger Hill as the rays strike the Himalayas and Kanchenjunga is a memorable experience.
