Itinerary:
Day 1 - Airport / Waikkal (approx. Transfer time: 45mins -1hr)
On arrival at Colombo International Airport on your flight. You will be met by a professional English speaking driver. After the formalities at the airport, you will be escorted to your air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival check into the hotel and relax. Overnight at Suriya Resort.


Day 2 - Waikkal/ Dambulla / Minneriya / Dambulla (approx. Transfer time: 4-5hrs)
After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Dambulla. Upon arrival enjoy an afternoon safari in Minneriya National Park.(Approx. Transfer time:40 – 50 mins)
Minneriya is yet another haven for the elephants that migrate from surrounding jungles to enjoy the lush grass fields on the banks of the Minneriya reservoir, during the dry season. Reports of elephant sightings range from a mere 100 to an astounding 700. The central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya Tank (built-in 3rd century AD by King Mahasena). This tank is generally known as a place to observe the elephants that come to bathe and graze on the grasses as well as the huge flocks of birds that come to fish in the shallow waters. On completion, check into the hotel and relax. Overnight at Sigiriana by Thilanka.


Day 3 - Dambulla / Anuradhapura / Dambulla (approx. Transfer time: 1-2HRS)
After breakfast, transfer to Anuradhapura and commence a sightseeing tour of Anuradhapura. Visit the ruins of the first capital founded in the 05th century BC. Here is found the largest number of ancient monuments of a great civilization. Buddhism found its first real home in Sri Lanka at Anuradhapura, and it thus contains some of Sri Lankan Buddhism’s most secret sights. The “Sri Maha Bodhi tree in Anuradhapura, planted from a cutting from the original “Bo Tree” under which the Buddha received enlightenment, continue to draw thousands of Buddhist pilgrims from around the world. The pillars of the brazen palace which once had nine stories, the image of the Samadhi Buddha which is one of the finest pieces of Buddhist sculpture, the twin ponds, guard-stones and the moon-stones are amazing remains of a great civilization. There are also monuments such as Ruwanveli Seya Dagoba with its famous elephant wall from the 2nd Century B.C. and the Thuparama Dagoba from the 3rd Century B.C. Later that day, visit Mihintale and on completion return to your hotel in Dambulla and check-in. Overnight at Sigiriana by Thilanka.


Day 4 – Dambulla / Sigiriya /Polonnaruwa / Dambulla
After and Early breakfast, visit the famous Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Frescoes. (Approx. Transfer time: 15 to 20 Mins) . Built by an obsessed monarch in the 5th century, Sigiriya or Lion Rock is an astonishing feat of engineering and construction. Set in the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, Sigiriya rises a sheer 200 meters above a forested plain, its flattened summit sloping gently. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, Sigiriya is Asia’s best-preserved city of the first millennium, showing complex urban planning around the base of the rock, combined with sophisticated engineering and irrigation skills in the palace perched on the summit. After climbing this magnificent Rock, Proceed to Polonnaruwa for a City Tour of the Ancient City. (Approx. Transfer time: 1 to 11⁄2 Hrs) Polonnaruwa, the second most ancient of Sri Lanka’s kingdoms, Polonnaruwa was first declared the capital city by King Vijayabahu I, who defeated the Chola invaders in 1070 A.D. to reunite the country once more under a native leader. Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned Archaeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. On completion return to your hotel in Dambulla. Overnight at Sigiriana by Thilanka.


Day 5 – Dambulla / Kandy
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. (approx. Transfer time: 15 TO 20 MNTS) On completion proceed to Kandy. (approx. Transfer time: 1 TO 1 1/2 HRS) En-route visit a spice garden. Enjoy a head & shoulder massage for 15 minutes and a local lunch at a spice garden. Here you will be able to see different spices and aromatics for which Sri Lanka has been famous for centuries. Thereafter proceed to Kandy explore the city. Kandy is a lovely city, the Hill Capital and the last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings retains an aura of grandeur, which time has not affected. Encircled by hills, with a tranquil lake in its center, it is the site of the renowned "Temple of the Tooth". Kandy and its satellite villages is the center of the island’s handicraft industry and its traditional dances are the most spectacular in the country. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. Overnight at Amaya Hills.


Day 6 – Kandy /Pinnawela/ Kandy
After breakfast depart for the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. (approx. Transfer time: 1 TO 1 1/2 HRS) Pinnawela is the home for young Elephants who have been displaced or lost from their natural habitat. This is the only such sanctuary in the world; you will watch the beasts gamboling in the water and being fed their quota of milk from handheld bottles. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard, and in 1984, the first baby of Pinnawela was born. The success story of Pinnawala has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. On completion return to Kandy for a sightseeing tour. Here you will visit the Kandy Market, Kandy upper lake drive, Gem museum, Arts & Crafts Centre etc. Later that afternoon, explore the city of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic which is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. The entire complex is part of another UNESCO world heritage site. On completion of the temple visit witness a cultural dance show. Overnight at Amaya Hills.


Day 7 – Kandy/ Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Peradeniya to visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens (approx. Transfer time: 15 MNTS). This was originally the King’s own royal pleasure garden that was later converted into a botanic garden and opened to the public. At the Royal Botanical Gardens at ‘Peradeniya’ you could treat your eyes to an amazing, wide and rare collection of tropical and temperate, exotic and indigenous flora, and an orchid house with the largest collection in Asia. On Completion head to Nuwara-Eliya. (approx. Transfer time: 1 1/2 TO 2 HRS). En-route visit a high grown tea plantation/factory. After lunch, around 1600 Hrs commence a sightseeing tour of Nuwara-Eliya Evening at leisure. Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course, and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 6,200 feet above sea level, the air is cool and fresh – a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Pony and Horse riding is available at the turf club of Nuwara Eliya to facilitate you with some sports and adventure. Visit a tea plantation situated in the misty mountains of the Sri Lankan Hills, to experience the ultimate feel of a tea plantation and its process. Upon completion of the sightseeing tour, Proceed to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya /Beruwala (approx. Transfer time: 5 TO 6 HRS)
After breakfast, check out and proceed to your beach stay... On arrival, check in to the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Cinnamon Bey

Day 9 & 10 – Beruwala Beach Stay
Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy the beach stay. (Vehicle and chauffeur will not be at your disposal during the beach stay). Overnight at Cinnamon Bey.

Day 11 – Beruwala/ Airport (approx. Transfer time: 2 to 3 HRS)
After breakfast transfer to the airport in time to check-in for your departure flight back home with pleasant memories of the pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka!
