Itinerary:
Day 1 Depart Gatwick (Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun) by AI 172

Day 2 Arrive in Ahmedabad
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Visit the sights of this historic city including Gandhi Ashram and various other religions temples and mosques. Overnight stay.

Day 03: In Ahmedabad
Today you will visit the Calico Museum, home to a rare collection of embroidery from the 17th century. Also visit Gandhi’s Sabarmati Ashram, the starting point for the famous salt march of 1930.

Day 04: Ahmedabad-Dasada
Drive to Dasada (6hrs). En route visit Patan, a beautiful town with Jain temples and carved wooden houses. Later visit the sun temple of Modhera, built in 1026 AD, dedicated to the Sun-God, Surya. Stay at Rann Rider for two nights.

Day 05: In Dasada
Today you will enjoy a morning safari in the little Rann of Kutch, a barren, salt-cracked desert, home to panthers, wolves and the India Wild Ass followed by an afternoon village Safari.

Day 06: Dasada-Bhuj
Drive to the desert city of Bhuj (5hrs 30 mins). On arrival you will acquire a permit to visit the villages of Banni and Bhujoda located on the outskirts of the north side of Bhuj. Overnight stay.

Day 07: In Bhuj
Today visit villages including Tundawandh. Later continue on to the villages of Mundra to witness felt making, wax printing and tie-dye work. Then onto Mandvi to see the magnificent Vijay Villas Palace. Relax on the beach before returning to Bhuj.

Day 08: In Bhuj
Day at leisure. You may wish to explore some of the neighbouring Banny villages.

Day 09: Bhuj-Gondal
Drive to the princely state of Gondal (6hrs). In the afternoon visit 17th century Naulakha Palace and car museum. Overnight at the Orchard Palace.

Day 10: Gondal-Sasangir
Drive to Sasangir (03 hrs 30 mins). Enroute visit Junagadh, an ancient fortified city, where you will visit Emperor Ashoka’a rock edicts dating back to 250 BC and the medieval, Uparkot Fort. Stay at Lion Safari Camp for two nights.

Day 11: In Sasangir
Today enjoy morning and afternoon safaris at Gir National Park, home to the last surviving Asiatic lions. The forest is rich in bird life as well as crocodiles and many species of monkeys.

Day 12: Sasangir-Diu
Drive to the tiny, Portuguese influenced island of Diu (3hrs). En route visit Somnath, the famous Lord Shiva temple wonderfully located facing the Arabian Sea. Stay at Radhika Beach Resort for two nights.

Day 13: In Diu
Today visit the 16th century Diu Fort, St. Paul Church ans St. Thomas Church. Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 14: Diu-Bhavnagar
Drive to the fortified city of Bhavnagar (5hrs), now a flourishing port on the Gulf of Khambat. During the afternoon you will visit Takteshwar Temple and a local market. Overnight stay.

Day 15: In Bhavnagar
Today, full day excursion to Palitana, the summit of majestic mount Shatrunjaya crowned with 900 temples, each rivaling the other for beauty and magnificence.

Day 16: Bhavnagar-Ahmedabad
After breakfast check out from Hotel and drive to Ahmedabad airport to board
