The Golden Temple of Dambulla in 1991 and finally the Centralhighlandswereaddedin2010.These places of historical and natural significance are not to be missed by any visitor to Sri Lanka. remnants from the past in their original grandeur. Itinerary:
Day 1: Colombo Airport/ Habarana
Arrive at Colombo Bandaranaike Airport. Our airport representative will meet you on arrival and introduce you to the chauffeur guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. Transfer to accommodation in Habarana and check-in to the hotel. (Private Transfer – approximate driving duration 4- 5 hours) Once reached check-in and relax. Day 2: Sigiriya/ MInneriya Breakfast
After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya and hike the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress. (Approximate drive duration: 15minutes)
Built by an obsessed monarch in the 5th century, Sigiriya or Lion Rock is an astonishing feat of engineering and construction. Set in the cultural heart of Sri Lanka, Sigiriya rises a sheer 200 meters above a forested plain, its flattened summit sloping gently. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1982, Sigiriya is Asia’s best-preserved city of the first millennium, showing complex urban planning around the base of the rock, combined with sophisticated engineering and irrigation skills in the palace perched on the summit. On completion, proceed on a jeep safari to visit the Minneriya National Park - The park is famous for being the best place in Sri Lanka to get close to free-ranging elephants. Day 3: Habarana/ Matale/ Kandy Breakfast & Lunch
After breakfast, proceed to Kandy via Matale. Stop at Matale and visit a spice garden to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. (Approximate drive duration from Sigiriya to Kandy: 3 – 3 ½ hours) You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. Gardens are open to visitors, a delightful place to stroll in fragrant greenery and learn about nutmeg, pepper vines, clove trees and curry,
cinnamon, and the precious cardamom, a relative of ginger. It grows in the shade of high jungle trees and can only be harvested by hand. On completion, proceed to Kandy and check-in to the hotel. Overnight accommodation at Cinnamon Citadel. (Superior room on BB)


Day 4: Kandy Sightseeing Breakfast
Commence a sightseeing tour of Kandy and visit Temple of the Tooth Relic (A World Heritage Site). In the crown jewel of the city, Kandy is the famed Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as the Temple of the Tooth. The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. The entire complex is over three centuries old at least and has seen many a king’s rise and fall. It has seen bloody wars and peaceful reigns and is one of the most historical places still standing on the island. The entire temple complex, from peaked tiled roofs to white walls with large airy windows, is built using classical Kandyan architecture. On completion, return to the hotel and relax. Day 5: Kandy / Nuwara Eliya Breakfast
Today, proceed to Nuwara Eliya and check-in to the hotel. (Approximate drive duration: 2 hours) Evening, commence a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Well-kept lawns with hedges, an Anglican church, a famous golf course, and beautiful parks give the place an air of nostalgia. Situated 6,200 feet above sea level, the air is cool and fresh – a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Pony and Horse riding is available at the turf club of Nuwara Eliya to facilitate you with some sports and adventure. On completion, return to the hotel and relax. Day 6: Nuwara Eliya Leisure Breakfast

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya/ Yala Breakfast & Dinner
Today after breakfast, check-out and proceed to Yala (Approximate drive duration: 2 -2 ½ hours). Once reached, check-in to the hotel and relax. Overnight accommodation at Big Game Yala by Eco team (tented camp on HB)


Day 8: Yala Safari Breakfast & Dinner
Today indulge in a morning jeep safari at Yala National Park. The elephant is undoubtedly the best-known attraction at Yala, seen in small & large herds. Herds of spotted deer are seen all over the park. Monkeys the pinkish rhesus and the grey-faced Langur monkey, live and play on the treetops and the ground below. Wild buffalo & wild boar could give a good surprise & the sight of a leopard sunning itself or drinking water at a water hole could be a memorable experience. The peacock is easily the most famous of the birds at Yala. The painted stork, many varieties of heron, the spoonbill, the bee-eater, parakeets, and king-fisher & woodpecker are some of the birds that can be seen in the park. Day 9: Yala/ Galle Breakfast
After breakfast, proceed to Galle and check-in at the hotel. (Approximate drive duration: 3 ½ hours). En-route, witness the Stilt Fishermen of Sri Lanka in Koggala. Enjoy the hotel amenities and the golden beaches of Galle. Evening, commence a sightseeing tour of Galle Fort. Overnight accommodation at Amari Galle. (Deluxe ocean view room on BB)


Day 10: Mirissa Whale Watching
Today, enjoy a Whale Watching experience in Mirissa. (Approximate drive duration: 1hour) Catch a glimpse of some of the largest creatures on earth in an exhilarating whale-watching boat ride, with unforgettable memories from the Indian Ocean. Whale and dolphin watching is one of the most exciting excursions
you can do during your visit to Sri Lanka. During whale-watching season, you will be able to witness groups of whales while on an organized boat ride to the middle of the ocean. Get ready to spot sperm and blue whales, false orcas, spinner, and bottlenose dolphins during this excursion. Whilst this tour may take approx. 3 - 5 hours, there's a 98% chance of spotting Blue Whales swim freely. Whale watching season runs from November - to April in the South Coast
