Itinerary:

Day 1: The St Lucia Eco Lodge
- Pick up a vehicle at Durban airport and drive towards St Lucia.
- 14:00 Arrive at The St Lucia Eco Lodge and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink.
- 14:45 / 15:45 Depart for a ShakaBarker Boat Cruise and enjoy a 2.5 hour trip on the St Lucia Estuary in between all the Hippos and herons, crocs and crakes. Perfect for the bird viewer. Enjoy some refreshments and relax while watching hippos play away.
- 17:30 / 18:30 Return to The St Lucia Eco Lodge, freshen up.
- 18:30 / 19:00 Enjoy a candle lit dinner with a view at The Hog 'n Hippo Bistro
- 19:45 Depart for a 3 hour chameleon night drive, which takes you along exclusive 4x4 tracks in the Eastern Shores, where you may encounter various local nocturnal residents. Sightings often include hippo, buffalo, spotted eagle owls, nightjars, kudu, waterbuck, crocodile, side-striped jackal, python and leopard. Chameleons abound, and the endemic Sitara's Dwarf Chameleon is a rare treat. Conducted in an open safari vehicle with two spotlights.

Day 2: The St Lucia Eco Lodge
- 07:00 Enjoy an early breakfast with the honking hornbills at The Hog n Hippo Bistro.
- 07:45 Depart for a full day World heritage tour, and learn why the iSimangaliso Wetland Park has been given the international status. Enjoy a full day off-road exploration of the pristine Eastern shores area - includes an ecological overview of the area, wonderful game-viewing, bird-watching, short walks, lunch at Cape Vidal with snorkelling and whale watching from the beach (in season). Learn more about the five Eco-systems that make up this unique park.
- 16:00 Return to The St Lucia Eco Lodge, relax and unwind.
- 18:30 Enjoy the beautiful iSimangaliso Forest and Ocean Breeze over a candle lit dinner while sipping on a complimentary glass of wine and relaxing.

Day 3: The St Lucia Eco Lodge
04:00 / 05:00 Depart for Hluhluwe/Imfolozi Game Park, a full day excursion through this Big Five Reserve, once the hunting grounds of the famous Zulu chief Shaka, the park is renowned for its efforts in saving the white rhino from extinction and the magnificence of these first foothills off the coastal escarpment. White rhino abound, and sightings of elephant are not unusual. The park also has lion, cheetah, black rhino, leopard, wild dog, a large population of giraffe and much more. Bird sightings may include lesser jacana, lappet-faced vultures, bateleur eagles, white-headed vultures, snake eagles etc. Also enjoy a full braai lunch while looking out at the majestic hills of Hluhluwe / Imfolozi. 15:00 Return to The St Lucia Eco Lodge. Relax 18:30 Watch hippos come out and graze at The Hog n Hippo Bistro, while enjoying a candle lit dinner with a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 4: The St Lucia Eco Lodge - House Boat
- 07:00 Enjoy an early cup of coffee with breakfast and drive in time to catch the boat.
- Experience the first houseboats in South Africa - the only ones of their kind. On board the Shayamanzi Houseboats, soak up the stunning scenery of the LeBombo Mountains and superb wildlife of the Pongola Game Reserve on the shores of Lake Jozini (also known as Pongolapoort Dam)

Day 5: Shayamanzi House Boat
Enjoy the calm serenity of the open Lake Jozini waters, the thrill of Tiger Fishing or the adventure of Mountain Biking in the heart of the Zululand Bushveld. Shayamanzi is about taking time out to appreciate Africa's special wonders.

Shayamanzi Houseboats operate from Jozini Tiger Lodge. Enjoy a warm welcome on their pool deck overlooking the houseboats and Jozini Gorge, Shayamanzi Houseboat departs 14h00 on the day of departure and docks at 10:00 on the final day. Jozini Tiger Lodge has ample secure parking space for vehicles and trailers.
Shayamanzi cruises off for her evening mooring and passengers are free to enjoy the afternoon's activities of game viewing and tiger fishing once the houseboat has moored.
