Itinerary:

Day 1: San Jose
Welcome to Costa Rica! Our friendly guide will meet you at the San Jose International Airport to start your private transfer to your Hotel in San Jose.

Overnight in San Jose.

Day 2: San Jose to Tortuguero
Today, we will pick you up at your hotel lobby to take you to the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, you will travel to Tortuguero! Afternoon visit Tortuguero town.

You will be exiting San Jose via the Braulio Carrillo National Park, cross this wonderful protected area enjoying beautiful landscapes and interesting changes in the vegetation. Once you reach the lowlands, pass the busy streets of the commercial town of Guapiles, as well as extensive banana plantations until reaching the dock where you board the boat going to Tortuguero. Enjoy the refreshing waves and be alert to the appearance of diverse fish, birds, amphibious, and reptiles, as you enter this biodiverse paradise.

Day 3: Tortuguero
Today you will enjoy a full day in Tortuguero visiting Tortuguero Canals and Tortuguero grounds with a Naturalist guide.

Day 4: Tortuguero to Arenal
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your lodge dock for a boat and land transfer to Guapiles where you will have lunch. After lunch, one of our representatives will meet you to take you on a land transfer to Arenal.

Guapiles is on the lowlands of the Caribbean and is an important agricultural area, especially for the banana industry, on the way out of this area, it is common to see trucks loaded with the yellow fruit transporting it to cities or ports.
Route 32 takes travelers through a portion of the Braulio Carrillo National Park and then towards the northern area of the country, passing through the rural communities of La Virgen and Aguas Zarcas in Sarapiqui. These are very fertile areas so vast plantations or livestock lands will fill the view. From this area the forest and mountains will reveal closeness to La Fortuna, home of the beautiful national park and outstanding Arenal Volcano.

Day 5: Arenal
Morning to enjoy an Arenal Volcano Hike tour and explore the area. Afternoon at leisure to relax at hotel premises.

Day 6: Arenal to Monteverde
During the morning, meet our representative at the hotel lobby to take a land and boat transfer from Arenal to Monteverde.

This is the most scenic, fast and the newest way to go or come from La Fortuna (Arenal Volcano Area), to the Monteverde area.
Arenal Lake is the largest and the most important lake in Costa Rica, it was man made in 1974 to provide hydroelectric energy for the country. It is also a place where you can find different kinds of resident and migratory birds. Sometimes mammals can be seen in the surroundings, also great views of the Arenal Volcano when it’s clear.
Once at Río Chiquito, we’ll leave the boat and make a short break to strength the legs, after, another 1 1 / 2-hour microbus ride to get to the hotels in the Monteverde area, sometimes during the rainy season this transfer could take longer.

Day 7: Monteverde
Explore the Cloud forest with a naturalist guide during the morning. Afternoon at Leisure to relax and explore the area on your own.

Day 8: Monteverde to Manuel Antonio
Morning transfer from Monteverde to one of Costa Rica`s North Pacific most beautiful destination, Tamarindo.

Leaving the misty hilltops of Monteverde towards the “white” town of Liberia, takes travellers on a descending road heading west to warmer lands while enjoying terrific views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the golden dry forest of Guanacaste with its vast savannahs. After a little more than 3 hours the town welcomes visitors who cross through it to continue their adventure to startling beaches like Tamarindo. Getting there takes visitors through paved or dirt narrower roads. Little villages and palm trees start to appear announcing the vibrant touristic town of Tamarindo, it delicious sunny beaches and fabulous waves.
