Terengganu is located along the east coast of Malaysia Peninsula.  The coastline, is the longest in the country and is scattered with beautiful islands, many of them national parks.  The state is characterised by a strong Malay culture, laid-back lifestyle, tranquil coastal towns and rustic villages. The state capital Kuala Terengganu is a pleasant city with heritage sites worth exploring before heading out to one of the islands.  Inland there are mountains, forests and waterfalls to explore as well as Kenyir Lake, Malaysia\'s largest lake.
