Kuching

Introduction

Kuching is the capital city of Sarawak, Malaysia\'s largest state situated on the island of Borneo.   The waterfront is a popular meeting place, lined with stylish restaurants and quiet food stalls, a scenic fountain and an open air theatre.  Chinatown is worth a visit, exploring the bazaars that line the street,  the temples, the oldest being Tua Pek Kong, and the Sarawak Museum.  One of the main highlights of staying in  Kuching is a visit to the Semonggok Nature Reserve, where semi-wild Orang Utans enjoy life in a secure natural habitat.
